Did you know that Young Rabo has a permanent seat in the Ethics Committee of Rabobank? And that you can enter interesting dialogues about ethical dilemmas within Rabobank?
The Ethics Committee meets every 2-3 months. Within the committee there is a representation of diverse managers from the entire organisation. Every employee can suggest a case for the committee. The cases are bank related and are about dilemmas in the grey area. We are not guided by what we must do or must not do, but by what we want to do. The Ethics Committee formulates a point of view with which the right entity can work.
This time, we will discuss the topic: Health and the Food System.
Externally, there's increased attention to health, the food system, and climate change. Rabobank is placing increasing emphasis on health as part of its broader societal agenda. In light of Rabobank's position and influence on health and the food system the Ethics Committee will consider the (collective) responsibility of Rabobank within the food system.
The seat which Young Rabo has in the Ethics Committee is on behalf of all young employees of Rabobank. Your input is of great value! You don’t need to be an expert on a specific theme or on ethics. It’s more important that you think about the topics and that you can form and give your own opinion on the topics. We use your input during the Ethics Committee.
This time, we will discuss the topic of Health and the Food System. As the memo outlining the dilemma can't be shared too far in advance, participants will receive the memo before the session. So, make sure to set aside some time to prepare. During the meeting, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
So…. Sign up and let’s talk ethics!
This activity is in person from 12.00 to 13.00 on 30 June. Feel free to enjoy your own lunch during this hour. You can sign out until 26-06, after this date there is a no-show fee of 5 euros.
