The Sailing Weekend is Back - Now with Fierljeppen!

Young Rabo invites you to set sail on an unforgettable Friesland adventure!

Join us in Friesland for a mix of sailing, adventure, Frisian culture, and sporty fun, hosted by Committee North and the Sport & Vitality Committee.

From Friday (June 12th) to Sunday (June 14th, 2026), we will be anchoring down in the cozy village of Heeg, Friesland.

Weekend Program

Friday, June 12th – Arrival in Heeg around 17:00

Once you have dropped your bags and claimed your bunk, we will kick off the weekend with a welcoming dinner. Get to know your fellow sailors, share your best (or worst) sailing tips, and gear up for Saturday's adventure. Expect games, laughter, and plenty of gezelligheid.

Saturday, June 13th – Full Sailing Day

After breakfast, it’s time to set sail!

Whether you are a seasoned sailor or brand new to boating, every group will have an experienced skipper to show the ropes. We will explore the Frisian waters, enjoy the sun, and maybe jump in for a refreshing dip.

In the evening, we will gather for dinner followed by a relaxed visit to the local pub (good vibes guaranteed!).

Sunday, June 14th – Fierljeppen & Flexible Departure

On Sunday, we dive into a unique Frisian cultural experience: Fierljeppen!

Local instructors will guide us through this spectacular pole‑vault‑over‑water tradition. Whether you glide gracefully or create the biggest splash of the day, you will feel like a true Fries for a moment.

After Fierljeppen, the official program ends.

You are free to head home whenever you like  or stick around in Heeg to enjoy lunch or drinks at your own cost. Perfect for those who want to chill a bit longer together.

Important Information

Participation Fee: €75 per person

This includes:

• Two nights in cozy waterside accommodation
• 2× dinners (Fri/Sat)
• 2× breakfasts (Sat/Sun)
• Boat rental for Saturday
• Fierljeppen activity + guidance
• Full activity program

(Note: Drinks at the pub and optional Sunday lunch/drinks are at own cost.)

Free cancellation until May 22th, 2026 at 12:00 PM. After that, a €150 no‑show fee applies if no replacement is found.

Registration

Sign‑up is available from March 31st, 2026 at 12:00 PM until May 15th, 2026 at 12:00 PM. Your spot is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.

Travel

Please arrange your own transport. A ride‑sharing overview will be set up.

Sailing Experience

Please indicate your level in the registration form. No experience needed, you will learn fast!
